ABOUT US
Burk Potter, LCSW

Adults & Adolescents (Age 13+):

After completing a Bachelor of Social Work degree at Weber State University, Burk received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah.
In addition to his private practice work at The HELP Clinic, Burk practices at Weber Human Services where he has worked with adults and adolescents in therapy since 2000. In addition to his work with adolescents through Weber Human Services Burk has worked with them in group home and detention settings. Burk has also completed more than 100 evaluations in disputed custody matters in his private practice and has provided counseling to adults and adolescents in that setting.
In his spare time Burk enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, camping, hiking, exercising and watching college football.
Philosophy
“Helping individuals through trying times, finding solutions to difficulties impacting them and discovering their abilities to cope with the stressors in their lives is paramount in my work. I believe individuals struggling with stress and other problems have the potential to learn the skills necessary to overcome those challenges and reach their potential. Assisting individuals in that process and watching them make changes leading to growth is the most rewarding part of my job.”
Shane Hurst, LMFT

Adults & Adolescents (Age 13+):

After completing his undergraduate studies at Weber State University, Shane received a Master of Family Therapy degree from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.
In addition to his private practice at The HELP Clinic, Shane practices at Weber Human Services. He has extensive experience with both adults and adolescents in therapy. His work with adolescents has taken place in private therapy and in a group home setting. Shane also worked with adults in the psychiatric unit of McKay-Dee Hospital.
Shane specializes in couple's therapy but also works with adolescents (13-18) and individuals. He works with depression, anxiety, PTSD symptoms, addictions and crisis intervention.
In his spare time Shane enjoys the outdoors, especially golfing, fishing, and camping.

Danielle Day, LCSW

Youth (Ages 5-15):

After completing her Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Weber State University, Dani received her Master of Social Work degree from Boise State University and completed her clinical hours to obtain her LCSW license.
In addition to working in private practice at The HELP Clinic, Dani is a certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) therapist who works as a Mental Health Specialist in the Weber School District servicing both elementary and junior high settings focusing on mental health therapy and coping strategies to encourage academic and social success. She coordinates treatment with students’ families, school counselors, teachers and outside agency support systems to provide holistic treatment and establish mental health stability in the school environment. Dani works hard to make sure individualized intervention and treatment plans are in place, specific to the unique needs of each child and family.

Prior to that, she was a school-based therapist at Weber Human Services for two years where she provided diagnosis and mental health therapy full-time with students utilizing Motivational Interviewing and TF-CBT strategies. She also has six years of experience working as a Resident Advocate and Director of Social Services in two different Skilled Nursing Facilities. She completed an undergraduate practicum with Adult Protective Services and a graduate practicum with Northern Utah Counseling working with behaviorally complex children (in a day treatment setting), adults and couples providing individual and group therapy.

In her spare time, Dani enjoys spending time outdoors (only when it is not cold), yoga, traveling, and trying new things.

“I am passionate about my work with youth. Children are our future, and their struggles are just as important and real as those adults have. I love their resiliency and I strive to support and encourage their growth physically, mentally, and emotionally.”
Rachel Hopkins, LCSW

After completing a Bachelor of Social Work degree at Weber State University, Rachel worked as a case manager and case manager supervisor at Weber Human Services before returning to
school and receiving a Master of Social Work degree from Our Lady of the Lake University.
In addition to her private practice work at The HELP Clinic, Rachel practices at Weber Human Services where she has worked with adult mental health and substance abuse since 2011.

In her spare time Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and pets, traveling, playing card games, and spending time outdoors

Larissa Archuleta, LCSW

After completing her Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Weber State University, Larissa received her Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Utah. She then completed over 4,000 hours of clinical work to earn her Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license.
In addition to working in private practice at the HELP Clinic, Larissa works as a Mental Health Specialist in the Weber School District. She provides individual and group therapy to elementary and junior high students and their families. Larissa works hard to provide individualized and comprehensive intervention and treatment plans to her clients so they can improve their emotional and social functioning and increase their feelings of satisfaction and the overall quality of their life.

Larissa has extensive experience working with individuals across the lifespan. She has worked as a school-based therapist at Weber Human Services where she provided diagnosis and mental health therapy to elementary aged students. Larissa has worked with service members and veterans at Hill Air Force Base. She has over six years of experience working with adults and seniors as a Home Health and Hospice Social Worker.

In her spare time, Larissa enjoys hiking, baking, trivia, traveling, and reading.

Mitchell Tocher, LCMHC
Adults (Age 18+):

Mitch is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. He received a BA in Social Work at Weber State University in 2004, as well as a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at University of Phoenix in 2012.

Mitch has been involved in the field of human services for many years in a broad range professional and paraprofessional roles. In addition to private practice with The Help Clinic, he currently serves the community as a Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) therapist and Designated Examiner for the State of Utah. Mitch has worked in group homes, conducted interim counseling in adult corrections, and has active clinical experience in the community with law enforcement, as well as other community partners. Mitch also enjoys facilitating a relationship workshop that has been presented to multiple community organizations, informal small groups, couples, and individuals.

Alline Snow, LCSW

After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Baylor University, Alline received her Master of Social Work degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She then completed her clinical hours to earn her LCSW license.

In addition to working in private practice at The HELP Clinic, Alline practices at Weber Human Services on the adult mental health team as well as works part-time as a member of their Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT). She is certified in Motivational Interviewing, Illness Management and Recovery, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and is also a Certified Crisis Worker.
In her spare time, Alline enjoys spending time with her family and two cats, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
